The door sensor is the trigger: close your bedroom door → both smart plugs turn off. No app, no voice needed day-to-day.
Set up the scene once (takes 2 minutes): Smart Life → Smart → IF door closes after sunset → THEN turn off plugs. Done forever.
The night light works on its own — motion + darkness = auto-glow for ~20 s, then turns off.
Mode B — The Timer
Set a schedule once and forget it. At 11:00 PM every night, your plugs turn off.
The night light stays in auto mode — it only lights up when you walk past it in the dark.

Set Up in 15 Minutes
- Connect Your Plugs (5 min) — Plug in, open Smart Life app, add device. Both plugs pair in the same app.
- Stick the Door Sensor (2 min) — Peel and stick on your bedroom door frame, align the magnet on the door itself. Every time you close the door, the sensor triggers your “Bedtime” scene. No app needed day-to-day.
- Stick the Night Light (1 min) — Under the bed frame or in the hallway. Motion activates only in darkness.
- Create Your Scene (5 min) — Smart Life → Smart → Scene → IF door closes → THEN lamps off. Or just use the timer.
- Test (2 min) — Close the bedroom door. Watch the lamps go off. Open it again — lamps stay off (the scene only triggers on close). Walk past the night light — it glows briefly, then fades. Done.
FAQs
Plug won’t connect to WiFi
Your router might be on 5GHz only. Smart plugs only see 2.4GHz networks.
Log into your router and enable the 2.4GHz band, or temporarily disable 5GHz during setup.
Does it work with ceiling lights?
Not directly — the kit controls plug-in lamps (table lamps, floor lamps, desk lamps).
Ceiling lights are wired into the wall switch. That’s perfectly fine for renters:
the whole point is to work with the lamps you already own, no wiring needed.
Will the door sensor damage my door or frame?
No. The sensor uses removable adhesive — same material as Command strips. One piece sticks to the door frame, the magnet piece sticks to the door. When the door closes, they align. Peel off cleanly when you move out. Zero holes, zero marks, zero deposit deductions.
What if my door is already closed when I want lights off?
Use Mode B (Timer) instead — set a schedule like 11:00 PM and the plugs turn off regardless of door position. Or just use the app manually.
Can I add more plugs or lights later?
Yes. Any Smart Life compatible plug joins the same app and your bedtime scene.
