WiFi Water Leak Sensor — Instant Alert, Zero Damage
100dB siren + app push notification, no hub required. Detects water in seconds.
One small leak can cost hundreds in damage — especially for renters. The PICOSZ WiFi Smart Water Leak Sensor (SW102) sits silently in basements, bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, and water-heater closets, watching for moisture 24/7. The moment a drip, flood, or burst pipe touches the probe, you get an instant 100dB siren + phone alert — before the floor gets wet, before the landlord calls.

Simple, Reliable Detection — How It Works
Water touches the probe, instant alarm + alert, every time.
The SW102 uses a contact probe design: when water bridges the two metal contacts, the circuit closes and triggers three simultaneous responses — a piercing 100dB siren, a flashing red LED strobe, and an instant push notification to your phone via the Tuya Smart Life app. No false alarms from humidity or condensation. Just real water detection, every time.

Everything You Need in a Leak Sensor
WiFi direct + siren + voice alerts — no hub, no subscription.
WiFi Direct + App Alerts
No hub required. Connects directly to your home 2.4GHz WiFi. The free Tuya Smart Life app pushes a notification the instant water is detected. Check status from anywhere in the world.
Voice & Multi-User Alerts
Works with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Announce water alerts through your smart speakers. Share device access with family so everyone gets notified — not just the person whose phone is nearby.
100dB Siren + LED Strobe
Loud enough to hear across the apartment, even when your phone is on silent. The red LED strobe provides a visual cue — useful in noisy basements or for hearing-impaired users. Alarm can be silenced via app or button.
Zero Installation, No Drilling
Peel-and-stick adhesive mount, no tools, no wiring, no landlord approval needed. Place it on any flat surface near a water source. Sets up in 30 seconds. 100% portable — take it with you when you move.
Battery Powered, Long Life
Runs on 2x AAA batteries (included). Ultra-low standby current (≤180µA) keeps it working for months. Low-battery alert via app ensures you’re never caught off guard.
Smart Automation Ready
Use the Tuya app to create automations: turn on a smart light when water is detected, trigger a remote siren, or send an email alert. Works with IFTTT and other Tuya-compatible platforms for advanced scenarios.
Where to Place Your Leak Sensor
One sensor, multiple protection points — keep every room safe.
Bathroom — Place near the toilet base or vanity sink. Toilet overflow and sink drips are the most common bathroom leaks. The SW102 sits flush against the floor and detects water before it spreads to the hallway.
Under the Kitchen Sink — The #1 leak spot in any apartment. A loose supply line, garbage disposal leak, or dishwasher hose failure can dump gallons in minutes. Place the sensor at the lowest point of the cabinet floor.
Behind the Washing Machine — Supply hose bursts are sudden and catastrophic. The SW102 catches them instantly — before water seeps through the floor to the unit below (especially important for upstairs apartments).
Next to the Water Heater — Slow drips from pressure relief valves and tank corrosion can cause hidden damage over weeks. Early detection saves thousands in structural repairs.

Smart Alerts That Reach Everyone
Push notifications to multiple phones, plus a local siren.
The SW102 doesn’t just alert you — it alerts everyone. Share device control with roommates, family, or a property manager so multiple people receive the push notification simultaneously. Combined with the 100dB local siren, you have a two-layer alert system that ensures no leak goes unnoticed — whether you’re in the next room or on vacation.

Beyond the Apartment — Pool, Aquarium & More
Use it anywhere water shouldn’t be: pool pumps, aquariums, RV hookups, crawl spaces.
The SW102 isn’t limited to indoor plumbing. Place it near pool pumps to catch overflow before it floods the yard, next to aquarium stands to detect tank leaks, or in RV water hookup bays. Its compact size and adhesive mount make it easy to deploy in any water-prone area — from basement crawl spaces to HVAC condensate drain pans.

Bought this for my parents’ vacation cabin that sits empty for weeks at a time. Main water line runs through the crawlspace where a leak could run for days unnoticed. Being able to check on it from the Tuya app while hundreds of miles away is exactly what we needed. No hub, just WiFi — perfect for a place with minimal tech. Setup was smooth, the app UI is clean, and notifications are fast. I feel way better about leaving the cabin unattended now. Recommend for anyone with a second property or an elderly relative living alone.

My washing machine hose burst at 2 AM and this little thing saved my entire apartment floor. The alarm woke me up instantly, and I had the app notification on my phone before I even got out of bed. By the time I got to the laundry closet, the water was maybe 3 feet from the washer — caught it before it reached the carpeted living room. No hub setup is a huge plus for apartment living where you don’t want another box plugged in. Picked up a second one for under the bathroom sink after this experience. Money well spent.

I use this in the bathroom near the tub and toilet. The sensor works great — tested with a small puddle of water and the alarm went off right away, nice and loud. Alexa integration was easy to set up (just the Tuya Smart skill). Removing 4 stars because the probe on the cable end is quite short and the cable is a little stiff. I wanted to tuck the sensor body higher up on the cabinet wall and have the probe sit flat on the floor, but the short cable made that tight. Ended up setting the whole sensor on the floor which is fine, but not ideal. Otherwise, solid product for the price and the app is reliable.

Works well as a water sensor overall. I placed it in the basement near the sump pump area. Setup in the Smart Life app was straightforward — no issues pairing over 2.4GHz WiFi. The alarm is definitely loud enough to hear from upstairs. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5: my basement WiFi router is about 40 feet away through a concrete wall, and the connection has dropped a couple times requiring a restart. That is probably more about my old router than the sensor itself. Battery life seems reasonable so far (2 months in). For $17, it is great value. Would buy again for other spots around the house.

I placed this under my kitchen sink after a small leak from the garbage disposal hose last year damaged the cabinet floor. This sensor gave me peace of mind for under $20. Setup took maybe 3 minutes in the Tuya app, and it connected directly to WiFi without needing a hub. The 100dB alarm is LOUD — tested it by holding the sensor with a wet paper towel, and my dog started barking from the other room. App notification came through within seconds too. I only wish the probe cable was a couple inches longer for tight spaces, but otherwise this is exactly what I needed as a renter.
